GREEN  BAY,  Wis.  (May  23, 2013) — It is with great pleasure that the Diocese of Green Bay announces the appointment of Barbara Wiegand  as Director of Facilities and Properties with St. Joseph Real Estate  Corporation of the Diocese of Green Bay, effective June 11, 2013.

Wiegand will succeed Tammy Basten, who was recently appointed Chancellor for the diocese.

Will Direct Management of Facilities

In her role as Director of Facilities and Properties, Wiegand will direct the management of diocesan facilities and properties, and Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum; administer the Diocesan Property & Liability program, and advise and assist the management of parish and other church properties.

A native of Manitowoc, Wiegand holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Before her appointment as Director of Facilities and Properties, Wiegand served as Human Resources Coordinator for the diocese since June 2006. Prior to joining the diocese, Wiegand worked in quality control for Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, business development for STS Consultants in Milwaukee, and human resources management for Aurora BayCare Medical Center.
