This is a church that was in desperate need of some TLC and it is wonderful to see what they’ve been able to do to bring back the “shine.” St. Isidore is a beautiful Catholic parish in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She stands proudly atop a hill and is a visible sign to passersby of a strong community of faith.
This is not a small job. From its steeple down through its plaster walls and including the beautiful stained glass windows, this church is being overhauled inside and out. What they’ve accomplished already is remarkable. There is still work to be done, but they are off to a great start. Click here to see their project in progress.
The steeple work was handled by VanDerKolk Painting, who also restored the beautiful statue of Jesus that greets worshipers as they approach the building. Kolenda Art Glass is handling the stained glass windows. This is the kind of project that shows how we love our beautiful buildings wherein we worship.
