The Archdiocese of Chicago recently announced Kevin O’Malley as their new Director of Facilities and Construction. As many of you know Greg Vieth, Kevin’s predecessor, passed away suddenly last September. Greg was a long time supporter of CCFM and a good friend to many of us.
Kevin brings to the Archdiocese a wealth of proficiencies and experiences in the construction industry. He has gained a thorough understanding of industry standards, building systems, life safety code requirements, and environmental issues over his 24-year professional career in various leadership and management positions at Chicago-area organizations, including W.B. Olson, Valenti Builders Inc., and most recently Pepper Construction Company. In addition to being originally schooled in the construction discipline with a B.S. degree in Construction Engineering from Purdue University, Kevin added to his education with an M.B.A. degree in Organizational Behavior from Lake Forest School of Management.
Kevin, you have some big shoes to fill, but we all want to welcome you to CCFM, and to say that we are all looking forward to meeting you in New Orleans.
